Direct compressed products

ISOMALT is the ideal raw material for chewable tablets and lozenges produced by direct compression. ISOMALT DC, due to its morphology, shows very good mixing behaviour and fortifies tablets with excellent abrasion resistance. In addition, it is easy to combine with other active ingredients and provides ideal flavour dispersion in the end product.

A compressed product with ISOMALT is comparable to a sugar product in terms of its organoleptic properties and taste profile. It also offers a smooth surface with an excellent mouth feel. Fruit- or mint-flavoured tablets can be produced using ISOMALT because its mild sweetness and its low cooling effect support the enhancement of any flavour.

In addition to classic compressed tablets, ISOMALT DC can be used for manufacturing direct-compressed gum bases.
